For a club that boasts the second-best defensive record in the Premier League so far this season, it is a surprise to learn that Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is guilty of making the most errors than any other player. The France international is widely regarded as one of the best keepers in the division, along with Manchester United’s David de Gea and Chelsea stopper Thibaut Courtois.Spurs are second to Chelsea in having the best defensive record after keeping nine clean sheets and conceding 16 goals in 22 games. However,ÂSquawkaÂhave come up with a surprising statistic that not many fans would have guessed.[ad_pod id=’now-tv’ align=’centre’]
In five of the errors mentioned, two of them led to goals, and both came in Saturday’s clash against Manchester City.
Lloris misjudged the flight of the ball when trying to meet Kevin De Bruyne’s long pass, and his miss-hit header on the edge of the box allowed Leroy Sane to score.
The second of City’s goals was also helped along by an error from the goalkeeper, as he dropped Raheem Stering’s cross, which gave De Bruyne the chance to tap in.
Tottenham managed to claim a 2-2 draw following second-half goals from Dele Alli and Son Heung-min.
