Max Cleworth has named Ollie Palmer as Wrexham’s biggest movie star wannabe, with the Red Dragons striker taking inspiration from Ryan Reynolds.

Reynolds, along with fellow co-chairman Rob McElhenney, has often invited famous friends over to North Wales, allowing Wrexham’s playing squad to rub shoulders with the likes of Will Ferrell, Hugh Jackman, Eva Longoria, Paul Rudd and Channing Tatum.

He told the podcast when asked to pick out the team-mate that has most embraced the attention that famous owners and the award-winning ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ documentary series have brought: “Ollie Palmer is quite good. He’s always ready. He’s naturally quite good in front of the camera. He’s been in a few [movies] now. He needs a few more to get his portfolio up a bit.”
