Following Watford’s draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, West Ham United were level with the Hornets on points, now sitting above them by three goals.
They were travelling to Manchester City with little hope of securing a result, seeing as City sit second in the table and beat the Hammers 5-0 on the opening day.
Therefore, there were some fans who were delighted to see that the game had been postponed due to the weather, with one stating that the team “can’t ruin my weekend now”.
It is this type of response that perfectly summarises the lack of belief that is currently being shown at West Ham, whether that be from fans or the players.
The 3-3 draw against Brighton showed just how fragile the team’s mentality is, as they crumbled before the eyes of everyone at London Stadium, making a whole host of errors to gift the Seagulls two of their three goals.
Then there is the lack of faith in David Gold and Sullivan and Karren Brady, which was brought to the forefront when fans unleashed their fury after Gold’s comments about Ed Woodward and the current situation at West Ham.
Is life under Gold and Sullivan really that bad? Maybe this quiz will change your minds, West Ham fans…
Relegation is a very real possibility for the Hammers, and there is very little faith in the team managing to pick up points, especially against a team such as Pep Guardiola’s side.
There can be complaints when fans are unable to see their team play, but the feeling among West Ham fans seems to be that they are happy to have a break from watching their club falter, while they are glad to see their goal difference won’t be dented further.
That surely offers a massive indication of the concerning lack of faith that is currently being felt by those at London Stadium.
Meanwhile, one West Ham loanee had a shocker on the weekend.
